Just a heads up for those of you picking up cars via BMW's European Delivery Program. The BMW Performance Center in South Carolina will not be doing re-deliveries from April 7th through the 28th. No word yet as to what people expecting re-delivery around this time frame frame may be facing.

Why?
Word is that the Performance Center will be closed off during this time for BMW to roll out the 1 series, X6, and M3 at the BMW Performance Center. So for those of us doing European Delivery now and a pick up at the Performance Center we may be looking at a little bit of a wait. Considering that the turn around time is usually 8-10 weeks once your car is picked up at one of the European Delivery drop off points.

what if it is the 1-series that I am buying? Still a delay?
I believe so. The way I understand it is that from April 7th through the 28th there will be no Performance Center Deliveries for the Public. I am still unsure how the Performance Center or BMW will handle deliveries scheduled for that time frame.
