In one of your articles last week, we have announced that the BMW will bring two diesel engines to the US in 2008: the 335d and the X5 xDrive35d. The official press release was going to take place at the Detroit Auto Show, and as predicted, today, BMW has unveiled their cars.
Both cars have an injection system called BluePerformance, and of course, it is legal in all the 50 states.
The BMW 335d and the X5 xDrive35d are getting BMW's dual turbocharged 3.0L inline six diesel starting this fall. The 265-hp, 425-lb.ft. torque monster will make these vehicles among the most fuel-efficient and best performing vehicles in their class. Another smart move from BMW. The german constructor is hoping to have a great 2008, and they seem to be on the right track.
Once again, no word on the pricing. BMW is known to release their prices just two-three months before the cars hit the showrooms.
