BMW has decided to recall almost 30,000 cars from their 550i, 650i and X5models equipped BMW’s V8. The problem is an electrostatic discharge that has been known to occur at the pipes that feed fuel to the injectors resulting in a malfunction in the Electronic Control Unit or ECU, subsequently causing the motor to stall.
Dealers will install grounds in the engine compartment to fix this problem.
