As BMW is celebrating its centenary, it can’t look back at its history without comparing itself to its rivals as this particular relationship builds progress. And while Porsche might not have always been a direct adversary, people tend to often pit the two iconic brands against each other. That’s why the BMW F10 M5 pictured here caught our attention.

The Bavarian brand is known for its wide palette of blue shades. As a matter of fact, blue is one of the colors used for its logo so it would only be normal for it to be a big part of the wide range of exterior colors. Among them you’ll find Estoril Blue, Yas Marina Blue, Long Beach Blue, Interlagos Blue and so on. All of them have a different hue and all of them have a certain following within the BMW community.

However, the owner of this car preferred a shade from Porsche and he dressed up his BMW M5 in Riviera Blue. The 993 Porsche Carrera RS is one of the iconic Porsches that often uses Riviera Blue. Yet somehow it fits the M5 really well.

Other than the Riviera Blue exterior, this BMW can also brag with a couple of well picked tech bits. There’s a set of M Performance brakes installed as well as an aftermarket RPI exhaust and a blacked out set of kidney grilles up front.
