From market launch this month, the new BMW M2 will be available with a full suite of M Performance Parts specifically designed for the compact sports coupe. To properly showcase the beautiful aero parts, an Alpine White M2 was introduced in March at the M stand in Geneva. While the pristine white is often the perfect color choice to match the beautifully designed carbon fiber M Performance Parts, there are plenty of M2 owners who might choose the aero parts for their Long Beach Blue-painted sports coupes.
These new photos showcase an M2 in the beautiful blue shade featuring a carbon fiber front apron, side skirts, rear diffuser and rear spoiler lid. Other upgrades – unique to the M2 – are the front and side sill attachments.
The BMW M2 Coupe is also fitted with the BMW M Performance coil-spring suspension so as to optimize road holding and handling. This reduces ground clearance by at least five millimeters as compared to the standard suspension. And the coil-spring technology can be used to lower the vehicle by an additional 20 millimeters.
Perhaps the greatest impact on the sportiness of the BMW M2 has the new M Performance Exhaust System with silencer flaps whose modes can be selected via a Bluetooth remote control. In addition to the version seen here – with four 80 mm tailpipes – BMW also offers a variant with carbon fiber tailpipe with a diameter of 93 mm.
