Businessman, car collector and philanthropist Michael Fux has one of the most impressive car collections in the world. Fux is also one of Rolls-Royce’s favorite and most demanding customers, due to his taste in cars and extensive knowledge in the creation of a customer Rolls.
His Instagram account is a delight to the eyes and now a special BMW M2 is being featured. Just a few months ago we spotted a BMW M2 Coupe in Austin Yellow being parked at the BMW M facility in Munich. At the time, we didn’t have much info on the special M2, but that car might actually belong to Fux.
Several reports on the interwebs say that the M2 came with a hefty price tag – around $114,000. Considering the base price for the M2 is around $52,000, we assume that the special color was not on the cheap side, while the M Performance Parts made of carbon fiber added to the final MSRP.
I’d love to order my M2 in Agave, my 71 color. Porsche will custom paint any of their models to any sample color you provide for $5,500 to $7,000. This doesn’t seem to be the case with BMW, at least in the U.S.
That’s not true, for some Porsche models (911R, GT3RS, Cayman GT4…) you will need to be a very special client to have a paint that is not on the catalogue. Just like it’s the case here with Fux that has a full BMW Individual M2.
I wouldn’t pay for that hideous color at half the price.
