In June, we saw the first photos of the Zinoro 60H, the SUV born from the Brilliance-BMW joint venture making new-energy vehicles (NEVs) for China. Their first car was the Zinoro 1E, based on the old BMW X1. The new Zinoro 60H is the production version of the Zinoro Next concept, based on the new long wheelbase BMW X1 Li.
Today, the company unveiled more photos of the sleek-looking SUV.
The Zinoro 60H is a plug-in hybrid consisting of a 136hp 1.5 liter 3-cylinder turbo engine and a 15hp electric motor, good for a combined output of 151hp. Zinoro claims a 0-100 acceleration time of 7.6 seconds, a fuel consumption of 1.8 liter per 100 kilometer and a pure electric range of 60 kilometer. A full electric version of the 60H is expected to be up next for Zinoro.
The Zinoro 60H will be available for sale everywhere in China and will be eligible for the full set of NEV subsidies which can add up to 90,000 yuan or almost $14,000.

Interesting. But why would they create a new subsidiary and not just an exclusive Chinese BMW model?
It looks like every car on the market mixed up in one. Terrible.
It’s not supposed to look good. It’s Chinese.
Actually it’s not even that ugly. At least not for a 14 000 dollar SUV with some BMW-ness design features and technology. Considering all that it’s a bargain and not even the worst kind.
The interior is a mix of the old X1 and the new X1, so it seems?
