Every year, the folks over at PeAsfalt.ro, are taking a trip from Eastern Europe to the Northern hemisphere, to visit Santa Claus’ land. The purpose of the trip to Laponia is to personally hand out Christmas letters to Santa Claus with the hope that all the kids will get their wishes fulfilled.
This year, the Christmas delivery service used the BMW 2 Series Active Tourer as their transportation vehicle.
The 3,000 km journey started in Chisinau, Moldova, and continued through Romania, Hungary, Slovakia, Poland, Lithuania, Estonia and then a ferry boat ride to Helsinki, Finland.
The BMW 225i Active Tourer reported an average fuel consumption of 7.0 liters per 100 km.
As soon as they reached Lapland, the kids’ letters were handed over to Santa Claus and his little helpers. From here on, they take over and are preparing the grant the Christmas wishes.

I truly disdain this little van but that image truly looks like something from a fairy tale. The only way in which that photograph could be improved would be if the 2AT was replaced with an X5.
I had my share of doubts about this. Until I’ve saw the actual car in person, which changed my perspective on this. To a lot of potential buyers, this is hitting the stop perfectly. Now that the xDrive versions are out there, it’s an even more attractive vehicle.
