Article Summary
- The Isetta, 2002 Turbo, M2 (G87), M4 (G82), and the iX are coming to Forza Horizon 6.
- The latest entries into the BMW garage will join the previously revealed M3 E30 and M2 F87.
- At least one MINI will be available: John Cooper Works GP.
As Forza Horizon 6’s launch approaches, more cars are being added to the virtual garage. The latest batch should delight fans of the roundel, as five BMWs are joining the lineup. After we spotted the original M2 (F87) in the game’s trailer at the beginning of the year, its G87 successor has now been confirmed as well.
While it’s nice to see the M4 in the group shot, we can’t help but notice it’s the pre-facelift version. This will disappoint those who prefer the updated design introduced for the G82 in early 2024. Hopefully, additional M4 variants will make it into the game as well, particularly the limited-run M4 CS.
Although the M2 and M4 are cut from the same cloth, this remains an eclectic group of BMWs. I mean, how often do you see the iX (again, the pre-facelift version) alongside the legendary 2002 Turbo and the adorable Isetta? If none of the models we mentioned are to your liking, another one is planned for Forza Horizon 6.
Celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, the iconic M3 E30 made a brief appearance in the trailer. The video also had something in store for MINI fans, as the John Cooper Works GP hot hatch will definitely be playable. Presumably, this is just the tip of the iceberg, with more models from the German and British brands on the way. After all, Forza Horizon 5 featured nearly 40 BMWs and close to 10 MINIs.
We wouldn’t count on Rolls-Royce returning. However, it would be interesting to see some ALPINA models now that the brand is part of the BMW Group. It’s wishful thinking at this point, but we’re holding out hope it’ll happen one day.
The in-game screenshot shared on official social media channels reveals an interesting detail. Although Forza Horizon 6 takes place in Tokyo, Japan, where cars are right-hand drive, all five BMWs feature a left-hand-drive setup. Then again, gameplay footage also showed cars with the steering wheel on the left side.
FH6 arrives on Xbox Series X/S and PC on May 19, before coming to PlayStation 5 later this year.
