BMW’s sports division has just unveiled the all-new BMW X5 M and BMW X6 M. The two brothers come hand in hand to the market in April 2020 and will bring new levels of sportiness to the SUV market. The new F95 X5 M and F96 X6 M will continue right where its predecessors left off. The motorizing of the big crossovers from Munich is closely related to the BMW M5 and M8.

At the heart of the two M brothers is the V8 twin-turbo S63, which also achieves the now familiar two performance levels. The standard new BMW X5 M and BMW X6 M make 600 hp and up to 750 Newton-meters of torque. The Competition models up the power to 625 hp.

When looking at the performance, the 2020 BMW X6 M’ standard sprint from 0 to 100 is done with 600 hp in 3.9 seconds, the 200 mark falls after 13.5 seconds. With 25 additional horsepower, the BMW X6 M Competition manages the same exercises in 3.8 and 13.2 seconds. In the US, the Competition model is rated at 617 hp for both SUVs.

On grippy asphalt, the 2020 BMW X5 M does 3.9 seconds in standard form and 3.8 seconds for the Competition model. The 100 km marks comes in 13.7 seconds for the base model and in 13.4 seconds for the higher powered model.

Pricing begins at $105,100 for X5 M and $114,100 for X5 M Competition plus $995 Dest, while buyers will have to shell out $108,600 for the X6 M and $117,600 for X6 M Competition plus $995 Dest.

Anyone who wants to push the individuality to the extreme, in line with the driving performance, can order the individual livery in Urban Green from November 2020.
