Jerry Seinfeld’s hit show, Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, is due back on Netflix quite soon. It’s hard to not love his show as a car enthusiast, as it always features great cars, great comedians and great conversation. So it’s funny, light-hearted and always has some of the coolest cars on the planet. In this upcoming season, Seinfeld drives around with British comedian Ricky Gervais in a Rolls Royce Dawn.

What’s funny about that is the fact that this is Gervais’ second appearance on the show and, this time around, he’s in a much less frightening car. The first time, Seinfeld picked up Gervais in an Austin Healey 3000 and it frightened Gervais quite a bit because he’s a nervous passenger and the Healey is old and has no airbags. Or any functioning safety technology of any kind, for that matter. Of course, to car enthusiasts, that doesn’t matter because the Healey 3000 is a gorgeous roadster with a straight-six. But to a frightened passenger, the Healey seems like a death trap.

Good thing for Gervais, Seinfeld chose a much more modern, much safer car the second time around. The Rolls Royce Dawn is yet another roadster but a far more comfortable, far more luxurious one. Not only is it modern and safe but it’s possibly the most luxurious way to drive around with wind in your head. The Dawn is the drop-top version of the Rolls Royce Wraith and it’s a beautifully built, extremely luxurious car. It’s also British, just like Gervais and the previous Austin Healey. So it’s a nice continuation.

The new season of Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee starts July 19 and it also features some other great cars and great comedians. For instance, Jerry drives with Eddie Murphy in a Porsche Carrera GT and Martin Short in a Mercedes-Benz W123 Wagon.
