The guys from MotorWeek have been reviewing cars for as long as we can remember. They hail from an age where people used to buy magazines and newspapers to get their relevant info, a time when information spread a lot slower. Recently, the MotorWeek people have stayed in tune with the times and are now doing Youtube reviews we can all enjoy for free. Their latest effort focuses on the brand new BMW F90 M5.

The new M model from BMW got a proper review from the MotorWeek peeps in just about 5 minutes, meaning you can learn what they think is essential about it, without spending too much time in front of a screen. Going over everything, from the new M xDrive all-wheel drive system to the way it works and how you can turn your car in a RWD model, the guys cover all the essentials in an impressive short amount of time.

The engine gets praised and its bigger turbos, now capable of squeezing 600 HP and 750 Nm (553 lb-ft) of torque out of the 4.4-liter V8 mill as the F10 used. The amount of power and torque is capably put down through the all-wheel drive system and even the exhaust is praised, something you don’t really hear from a reviewer when testing a BMW. The automatic gearbox may not be a DCT anymore but it’s damn close in terms of performance, as the MotorWeek team points out.

The question on everyone’s mind was whether this new M5 will follow the recent trend of the M division of making their creations a bit less of a driver’s car than the generations before them. The conclusion they reached says it’s not the case here, with the F90 being a considerably better car in every regard compared to the F10.
