Enforced only in the UK for now, the new trim-structure is split in three different styles dubbed Classic, Sport and Exclusive. This way, MINI claims, the system will enable customers to configure a complete vehicle in five simple steps.

Each style offers customers increased standard specification and a shortcut to a distinctive interior and exterior character of their choice. The trio of styles not only simplifies the ordering process, but also aligns the equipment offering across the MINI range for the first time. Standard specification has been enhanced, with the introduction of automatic headlights with rain sensors, MINI Excitement Pack including ambient interior lighting, exterior MINI Logo projection and more as standard on every model.

If you’re worried about the possibility of no longer being able to create your own custom model, taylor made to your needs, you need not worry. You can style customize your car according to your personal preferences but for those looking for a more streamlined ordering and configuration process, the three new styles will be of great help. Furthermore, you can now order your car online, without having to pay a visit to a nearby MINI dealer at all.

The Classic style brings 6.5” color infotainment screen, intelligent emergency call, DAB digital radio and Bluetooth connectivity as standard on all models. Classic also includes ambient lighting, exterior MINI logo projection and automatic headlights with rain sensor. Taking all of the standard specification from Classic models, Sport models include John Cooper Works Aerodynamic Kit and Spoiler, John Cooper Works Alloy Wheels, Sports Suspension, John Cooper Works Bucket Seats, John Cooper Works Steering Wheel and anthracite interior headliner.

Sport models are available in combination with Cooper and Cooper S engines as are Exclusive builds which, on top of the Classic standard features also offer upgraded ‘Exclusive’ alloy wheels, chrome line exterior finish, MINI Yours Lounge leather upholstery, MINI Yours leather steering wheel, MINI Yours interior trim and interior chrome line finish.
