The 570 horsepower monster from AC Schnitzer is turning heads at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show. The first major international auto show of the year hosted in Europe is the home of many tuning companies who take this opportunity to showcase their latest and greatest engineering achievements. And the AC Schnitzer ACL2 is one of them.

AC Schnitzer has managed to fit the S55 3.0 liter engine from the M3/M4 models. Even the carbon fiber engine brace is included. This includes a new ECU, an optimised carbon intake, a lightweight battery, a Drexler locking differential, and a full AC Schnitzer sports exhaust. The tuner promises a power to weight ratio of 2.54 hp/kg.

Fitted with track-inspired accessories and a widebody aerodynamic kit, the ACL2 takes the 2 Series looks to a whole new level. At the front, the ACL2 gets a redesigned bumper and larger air intakes. Side sills, wheel arches and a large fixed rear wing are some just some of the rest of the visual upgrades.

Another hack from its M4 big brother is the axles of that bigger coupe, along with height-adjustable AC Schnitzer Clubsport suspension. Then come new support bearings, as well as the M4’s carbon strut braces.

Schnitzer’s forged AC1 alloys in anodized red, wearing 20in Michelin PSS tires, were specifically designed for the ACL2.

Inside we can find the typical AC Schnitzer badging, and also a set of new pedals, sports seats, gear knob, handbrake grip, and carbon fiber trim. The steering wheel is just as impressive as the rest of the car. Green has invaded the cabin, with green leather, green stitching over black suede and carbon bucket seats with green inserts.

0-62mph takes just 3.9 seconds – putting it way ahead of the M4. The car’s top speed is just as impressive – thanks to a delete of the limiter, this super tuned coupe will run on to 205mph.
