The first online configurator for the new and highly awaited BMW 1 Series M Coupe just went live on www.bmw.co.uk.

Interesting enough, in the UK, Alpine White paint comes at no cost, but Sapphire Black and our favorite Valencia Orange Metallic have a surcharge of $830.

The 1M, as configured by us with the orange paint, comes to 40,500 British Pounds, or around $65,000.

In the US, BMW offers the 1M in all three colors, Alpine White, Valencia Orange and Sapphire Black, but as far as we know, at no extra charge.  The car will go on sale this May with first units arriving in the U.S. after May 16th, 2011.
