Continuing with the BMW premieres at the Frankfurt Auto Show and today, we’re giving you the ultra-efficient BMW 320d, EfficientDynamics Edition. The 320d played an important role in Dr. Klaus Draeger’s speech on BMW’s EfficientDynamics current and future plans. The BMW 320d is powered by a 2.0 liter four-cylinder diesel engine outputting 163 horsepower. Fuel consumption is rated at 4.1 liter/100 km or 57 MPG US.

Same with all the newer models, the aerodynamics of the cars have been improved increasing the fuel efficiency. As we have seen on the new X6 ActiveHybrid, BMW is paying attention to every dynamics details, including newly designed wheels.

In a discussion with some European journalists, we learned that some of them managed to achieve impressive fuel consumption averages: from 3.5 to 3.9 liter/100 km.
