The second generation BMW X6 will come to market in late 2014. The F16 X6 is sharing a platform with the new F15 BMW X5. The design is also built atop the BMW X5 and the upcoming X4, including the new headlights which connect to the kidney grille, larger kidney grilles and a “shark nose.” The 2016 X6 comes with air breathers on the sides.
The X6 retains the coupe-like roofline which flows nicely into the trunk. The length of the F16 X6 increased from 4877mm to around 4910mm. More interior space is offered as well.
The renderings attached to this post give us a closer look at what the final design could look like.
Power is likely to come from a new range of twin-scroll turbocharged 3.0-litre diesel and tri-turbocharged 3.0-litre six-cylinder engines, as well as a selection of upgraded 4.4-litre V8 petrol for both standard and M division cars.
