Famous race track Laguna Seca hosted the international media launch of several BMW models that will come to market this year. The star of the launch and on track was the all-new 2013 BMW M6 Coupe, the super sporty high-end coupe that goes on sale this summer and will carry a Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Prices of $106,995 (including destination and handling).

Other U.S. debuts were the facelifted flagship 7 Series, 650i Gran Coupe and ALPINA B7. Over the course of two days, we had the opportunity to sample these fantastic automobiles on an equally glamorous race track, Laguna Seca and its “corkscrew.” Back-to-back driving gave us more insight into the development of latest M cars, and how for example ceramic-brakes are the holy grail on a trace track.

As a bonus, BMW of North America included the F10 M5 into the mix, with both manual and automatic transmissions.

The B7 one again proved why many call it an “M7-like” automobile, and the addition of a ZF eight-speed automatic transmission to the tuned up V8 engine, offers increased performance, both on the road and on track.

Our driving impressions will follow shortly and in the mean time enjoy our exclusive photo gallery.
