It's time to move on from all the 1 series and M3 spy photos, and today, we are back with some new photos of the 2010 BMW Z4. As some of you might recall, BMW has decided to move the Z4 production from Spartanburg, SC back to Germany, in Regensburg (I know, I know, it rhymes well). The production will start sometimes in 2009 as MY2010.
The colleagues at The Car Connection have managed to snap some new photos of the Z4. Since the upcoming Z4 will be riding on the latest 3-Series chassis, it may use the same range of four- and six-cylinder engines. There is a strong possibility that a diesel engine will be available as well. Of course, the top Z4 model will the M product.
As far as the exterior, one major change from the current model, is the introduction of a retractable hardtop, similar to what Mercedes-Benz has in their SLK models. Other than that, we can't really see a whole lot since BMW does a good job at camouflaging their test mules. But we can definitely agree that in these photos, the Z4 looks more elegant, slimmer, like a sports car should be.
One thing that I would love to find out is if BMW has any plans to offer the European Delivery program for the Z4's. It would only make sense since the program is available for all the car manufactured in Germany and if this is the case, I am almost certain that many people will die to drive their Z4 on the beautiful and fast Autobahn.
