BMW Abu Dhabi Motors has just raised the bar once again. The Middle East-based dealership was already known for his wild creations in the BMW world (here, here and here), but this new 2020 BMW ALPINA B7 is the best luxury sedan we’ve seen from Buchloe.

Most of the B7 models launched by ALPINA feature the iconic ALPINA Blue or ALPINA Green colors, which are some of the best offered on a BMW car. But this particular 2020 BMW ALPINA B7 was painted in the Tanzanite Blue color which is available through the BMW Individual program.

Tanzanite Blue Metallic is significantly darker compared to ALPINA Blue paint, adding a bit of mystery around the B7 limousine. Yet, the 21 inch wheels in the traditional ALPINA design and the four round tailpipes remind us that this is still the fastest car offered by the Buchloe-based automaker.

And if you’re still confused about the model at hand, ALPINA included color contrasting lettering on the front apron, decorative side decals and a rear spoiler lip.

Powered by the the latest generation 4.4-liter V8 engine with two, twin-scroll turbochargers, direct injection and Valvetronic fully variable valve timing and Double-VANOS variable camshaft timing, the new ALPINA B7 delivers 600 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque available from only 2000 rpm all the way up to 5,000 rpm (previously 3,000 – 5,000 rpm).

The new ALPINA B7 now accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds (previously 3.6 seconds) and can reach a maximum speed of 205 mph (previously 194 mph). Currently, the 2020 ALPINA B7 is the world’s fastest production sedan.

ALPINA CEO Andreas Bovensiepen explains the new 2020 ALPINA B7

To make things even more special, BMW Abu Dhabi Motors paired the Tanzanite Blue color with a two-tone Lavalina leather. The very same high-quality leather is often used in cars from Rolls-Royce. In this case, the color choices were a dark blue and red combination.

Since ALPINA only includes the Nappa leather as standard in the nearly 155,000 euros car, a Lavalina leather will have to be specially ordered. That whole deal will set you back another 8,500 euros. Furthermore, there is also an opulent full leather variant sold under the Lavalina II name which costs even more – 18,400 euros.

With all these special options, the 2020 BMW ALPINA B7 can easily jump over the 180,000 euros mark, which is nothing to scoff at.
