One of the most stunning cars at the BMW stand in LA, maybe even in the entire auto show, is the new BMW M8 Gran Coupe First Edition. The limited edition M8 Gran Coupe is painted in the stunning Aurora Diamant Green Metallic color which was first featured on the Concept version of the M8 Gran Coupe. Only 400 of the First Edition models will be made and a numbered plaque will show their owners just how rare they are.

The BMW kidney grille, side air breather trim, door mirror and window-surround trim, exterior badging and door sill plates are finished in Gold Bronze, mirroring the M8 Gran Coupe Concept vehicle.

The interior is finished in BMW Individual Ivory White/Tartufo Full Merino leather and features Individual Piano Black trim with a “First Edition 1/400” on the center console door.

Exclusive 20-inch Forged M Star-Spoke wheels finished in Gold Bronze help set the BMW M8 Gran Coupe First Edition cars apart. Basically, as you can see from the photos, this is a street-legal version of the BMW M8 Gran Coupe Concept that wowed crowds before the official car came out.

Under the hood of the BMW M8 Gran Coupe First Edition we’ll find the same powertrain as on the standard M8 Gran Coupe Competition. That means we get a 4.4-liter V8 twin-turbo mill with 625 HP (617 hp in the US) and 750 Nm (553 lb-ft) of torque hooked up to an 8-speed automatic gearbox and all-wheel drive. Production for the limited U.S. M8 Gran Coupe First Edition cars is set to begin in March 2020 and deliveries will take place shortly after.
