It’s not every day you see the new BMW F80 M3 in the iconic Laguna Seca Blue. The beautiful blue shade has been a popular choice back in the day and while it’s not a standard option for BMW, one can still order it through the BMW Individual Catalog.

This F80 M3 comes from Puerto Rico and – along with the custom Laguna Seca Blue paint job – it gets a series of aftermarket carbon fiber parts. Produced by RW Carbon, the Big Fin Carbon Fiber Rear Diffuser has been fitted to the M3 and comes with larger fins than the performance style diffusers. They are still made using the same high quality 2×2 carbon fiber fabric, resins and clear coats for a beautiful finish.

Next, a carbon fiber front lip enhances the front-end of the sporty sedan. This lip features a 2×2 CF construction that’s matched with a nice clearcoat.

With a carbon fiber roof and the black kidney grilles, this F80 M3 maintains a clean look that matches the special blue color. Sometimes keeping the car close to stock form pays off big time and judging by the photos below, the owner has certainly made the right choice.

After four years in development, the new M3 graduated with BMW’s latest turbocharged engine, a 3.0 liter six-cylinder unit that has replaced the fans’ darling, V8 naturally aspirated powerplant. Even though it offers less cylinders and a smaller displacement – 4.0L V8 vs 3.0L straight-six – the new engine and its two turbochargers give it even more oomph than before – 425 horsepower – while reducing emissions and increasing fuel economy. The torque also sees a significant hike, 110lb ft to 405lb ft between 1850rpm and 5500rpm.
