From Lisbon, we bring you a new photo gallery of the facelifted 2015 BMW 6 Series Coupe, Gran Coupe and Convertible.

With the three LCI models, BMW stayed true to their formula of not tinkering too much with a design that people love.

The changes to the design are subtle. BMW removed one slat from its kidney grilles (the grill now has 9 slats, instead of 10) and the overall effect of this is that the new 6 Series grill is even more prominent. Full-LED headlights are now standard, and the fog lights feature three distinct LED units. The biggest changes are the headlights because they have a completely new interior and the turn signals are now integrated into the bezel accent at the top.

The front bumper gets redesigned a bit as well. It now features large lower air intakes with a subtle lip underneath running across the entire lower end.

A major innovation with the 6 Series Facelift was the introduction of the two design and equipment lines: Pure Experience and Design Pure Excellence.

The BMW 6 Series Coupe, Convertible and Gran Coupe will continue in the US in the 650i and 640i models. The new models will begin hitting showrooms some time in the second quarter of 2015. The 6 Series line remains an exclusive car, having sold just 80,000 worldwide since its market launch.

Powertrain

The engine and transmission soldier on unchanged in the 2015 BMW 6 Series LCI (Life Cycle Impulse) update. Powering the 650i is the TwinPower Turbo N63 V8 that produces 445 horsepower and 480 lb-ft of torque, which is mated to an 8-speed Steptronic sport automatic transmission, accelerating from 0 to 60 MPH in 4.4 seconds. The 640i version is powered by the N55 BMW’s TwinPower Turbo inline six which twists out 315 horsepower and 330 lb-ft of torque. The 640i is also mated to an 8-speed Steptronic sport automatic transmission, and can go 0 to 60 MPH in 5.2 seconds. In all but the M versions, BMW offers xDrive.
