The John Cooper Works package now makes it way into MINI Paceman and infuses it with the JCW mojo.

0-60 is now just a 6.5 seconds away and sports a top speed of 127 mph which is a whopping two miles an hour faster than a Honda Accord.  Don’t ask about the 0-60 time for the Honda, the Accord is faster.  This JCW Paceman now represents an unprecedented 7th John Cooper Works Model.  As is typical for JCW’s models, the Paceman has the 1.6 inline turbocharged four which gets the JCW werk over and now produces 208 hp @ 6000 rpm and a max of 207 lb-ft of torque courtesy of the overboost function.  Otherwise the torque figures are 192 ft-lbs from 1,850 rpm to 5,600 rpm .

ALL4 all-wheel drive is standard on the JCW MINI Paceman as are 18” JCW wheels.  Transmission options are either a six-speed manual or a six speed automatic transmission.  The familiar workings of the JCW treatment also get applied to the exterior with JCW body kit with key air flow management .  The suspension has been tweaked in JCW fashion and features beefed up anti-roll bars.  The JCW Paceman also benefits for a sports exhaust system with chrome tail pipes.

It is slated to have a base cost of $36,200 which includes shipping and handling.  The John Cooper Works Paceman will hit dealer showrooms March 2013.  EPA figures are 31 hwy/25 city w/ manual tranny and 30/23 for the auto.
