Mercedes-Benz Cars delivered 2,043,800 vehicles in 2023, more than Audi but less than BMW. Sales were virtually flat year over year.
Audi sold approximately 1.9 million cars in 2023 when BMW shipped 2,253,835 vehicles to customers around the world.
Once again, the US was the largest single market for the BMW M division in 2023, followed by Germany and the United Kingdom.
BMW sold 7.3% more cars in 2023 than it did the year before, enough to set a new record and maintain its position as the global luxury leader.
With 26,184 cars delivered, BMW sold 1,869 more vehicles than Mercedes to take the luxury sales crown for the first time in 11 years.
With 23,883 new registrations, BMW outperformed Mercedes (19,946) and Audi (19,881), securing a substantial lead.
