The one thing missing from the lengthy press release yesterday was the M Sport Package for the new 2016 BMW X1. As with all the other models, the M Sport Pack is the highlight of any BMW introduction. These first photos of the 2016 BMW X1 M Sport Package show the entry-level SUV sporting the Estoril Blue color — specific to the package — and an aggressive stance. According to BMW, the M Sport Pack will be available shortly after the market launch in October.

At the front end, the X1 M Sport stands out with its three large air intakes giving the front apron an aggressive appearance. In addition to the aerodynamic front-end, side skirts, rear bumper and wheel arch trims in the body color, the M package also includes a revised kidney grille with eight black struts, 18 or even 19-inch two-tone light-alloy wheels and the peripheries of the BMW Individual High Gloss Satin Chrome. Rounding out the sporty appearance is the M Sport suspension which lowers the X1 by 10 millimeters.

In the interior, the M Sports package brings new sport seats, an M leather steering wheel, roof lining in anthracite and a special trim. The footrest, shift lever and front wings are marked with the M logo.

In addition to these sporty features, there are practical options available as well, such as the 2-zone climate control, the PDC (Park Distance Control) at the rear, and the speed control with braking function, all part of the M Sport package. Depending on the engine and the associated standard equipment, the M Sport Package could cost an extra 4100-5200 euros.
