The launch of the new F80 M3 and F82 M4 has ignited another exciting segment in the aerodynamic and wheel development for tuning companies. California-based tuning shop Vorsteiner is also preparing to launch their own M3/M4 tuning program.

Beginning with their aero advancement, Vorsteiner initiated a 3D scan of the entire vehicle including the front bumper, front fenders, side skirts, quarter panels, rear bumper hood and trunk. Their 3D scanner measures the physical world using blue light technology that generates polygon meshes to create a defined digitized rendering. With this digital rendering, the Vorsteiner team is able to shape, modify and perfect our drawings to ensure percise fitment, stability and practicality for everyday and track use.

While scanning the vehicle, the tuning shop began measuring the depth of the front and rear wheel wells between the inner strut, and outer fender using a digital caliper. Once measured, they calculated the maximum inner and outer clearances to optimize the width and offset of our forged wheels. With these measurements in the database, the engineers are able to adjust your wheel specifications around applicable tires and your personal taste and preference.

Enjoy the most recent photos of the 20” VSE-003 wheels and stay tuned for further aero and wheel development for both the F80 M3 and F82 M4.
