New videos of the BMW i8 emerge on the web.

The footage below focuses on the aerodynamics of the hybrid sportscar and gives us a neat look at the BMW wind tunnel. The BMW i8 combines a drag coefficient (Cd value) of 0.26 with outstanding aerodynamic balance. The finely honed air flow around all parts of the vehicle body makes for an excellent lift/drag ratio.

The standard-fitted 20-inch forged aluminum wheels also combine aerodynamic design with weight savings.

Pairing an exceptionally lightweight, aerodynamically optimized body with cutting-edge BMW eDrive technology, a compact, turbocharged 1.5-liter BMW TwinPower Turbo gasoline engine and intelligent energy management, the BMW i8 marks the next stage in the evolution of the Efficient Dynamics strategy. Its revolutionary approach achieves an unprecedented balance between performance and fuel efficiency: 4.5 seconds from 0 to 62 mph and approximately 95 MPG.
