Another video of the 2012 BMW 1 Series emerges from UK publication WhatCar. The UK journalists managed to get the new 1er in a photoshoot studio and take a closer look at what is shaping up to be one of the most controversial BMW designs in the last decade.
With a bold front-end design, the 1 Series continues the design language initiated by BMW with the new 7 Series. The front-end design resembles to a point the 5 GT, but with cues matched to the smaller body.
At the back, the design is less controversial and more of an evolution from the previous E87 generation.
The car is longer than the current 1er, with a good chunk of that extended length in the wheelbase (30 mm) and wider than before, not by much, but enough to make the interior feel more spacious.
Let’s have a look at the video.
dont like the front change the lights or someting to match the grill
feels weird to admit this but honestly, i think its the strongest F generation car so far

Not that bad as on the first pictures, but I still don’t like it.
As long as they don’t muck up the 3-Series, I’ll be fine. I would never buy a 1-Series (current or F20) due to the horrible designs.
I must admit, it’s growing on me

It is also growing on me pretty quick honestly. With the recent M-Sport package image leaked, I’m starting to like it!
Buy a VW Polo, change the badge into BMW and paste nubers on the rear left side and you get new BMW 1 series and you come true cheaper =P ;)
the grille looks way too small!!!!!!!!!! and the headlights are over dimensionedÂ
