The most hardcore BMW you can buy today – if you’re lucky enough – is, without a doubt, the BMW M4 GTS. Created as a sort of exhibition of what the M division can do, the GTS is a limited-run version of the M4 that broke several records. With a production run of just 700 units worldwide, you’d think that all of them would be locked up somewhere in a museum, far from any danger.

Well, you’d be wrong as these things were built to be driven not stared at, as the video below will prove it. According to the uploader, during the GTCup event organized by the guys from Top Gear Magazine Italy, a BMW M4 GTS was brought out to do some stunts, including some burnout sessions as well as some donuts.

And while seeing the 500 HP BMW tearing up the rear tires with such ease is a sight to behold, the sound its 3-liter twin-turbo engine makes is also something to remember. Sure, some might still prefer the old 4-liter V8 of the previous generation M3 Coupe but then again, as far as straight six engines go, you can’t do better than this.

If the sound isn’t good enough for some, the performance figures might do the trick. The BMW M4 GTS is the fastest car the Germans ever made, reaching 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.8 seconds, reaching a top speed of 305 km/h (189 mph) and going around the Nurburgring in just 7 minutes and 28 seconds, on par with some Italian supercars. Unfortunately, if you’re still trying to buy one, chances are you might’ve missed your chance as most of the cars have been sold already.
