December 2019 marks the official market launch for the new BMW X6 in the United Kingdom. The pioneering Sports Activity Coupe has already reached its third generation. After the world premiere at the IAA Frankfurt in September this year, the new X6 is currently celebrating the market introduction in several markets. The G06 generation of Bavarian SAC has recently reached UK soil. The new X6 is available in three trim lines: Sport, M Sport and M Performance.
For the UK market, the X6 is available in 4 engine variants: BMW X6 xDrive30d with 265 hp starting from OTR £59,340, BMW X6 xDrive40i with 340 hp starting from £60,320, BMW X6 M50d with 400 hp starting from £74,335 and the range-topping BMW X6 M50i starting from £76,870.
The standard equipment for the new X6 is rich and comprises, among others, Vernasca leather upholstery, Adaptive LED headlights, Adaptive two-axle air suspension, BMW Live Cockpit Professional, ambient lighting and 3-zone automatic climate control. The Sport trim line comes standard with 19-inch alloy wheels, whereas the M Sport versions sits on 21-inch wheels. The high-end M Performance models are standardly equipped with 22-inch wheels.
The pictured model used for the UK market launch is the X6 xDrive40i in M Sport trim line. The Carbon Black metallic exterior color is further emphasized by the BMW Individual high-gloss Shadow Line with extended content and the 22-inch double-spoke M design alloy wheels with bicolor finish (code 742).
Inside, this X6 was specced in BMW Individual Ivory White leather upholstery, with BMW Individual Fineline wood ornaments with aluminum inserts for the dashboard and the optional CraftedClarity glass application for the electronic gear selector, the engine start/stop button and iDrive rotary controller.
The new BMW X6 entered production at the Spartanburg plant in August 2019. In the U.S., MSRP pricing starts at $64,300 for the new 2020 BMW X6 sDrive40i, $66,600 for the BMW X6 xDrive40i and $85,650 for the BMW X6 M50i. Pricing does not include $995 Destination.
