The BMW M760Li is one of those cars that stops passersby dead in their tracks. It’s massive, brash, overly luxurious and, most importantly, sports a “V12” badge. Regardless of how you feel about luxo-barges, the M760Li’s presence is hard to ignore. Especially in Aventurine Red, which is a color we just can’t get enough of.

Powering the BMW M760Li is a monster 6.6 liter twin-turbocharged V12 that makes 600 hp and 627 lb-ft of torque. That’s a whole lot of everything. Though, excess is sort of the idea when it comes to the M760Li. It’s massive, its engine is massive, its power is massive and so too is its luxury. Everything about the M760Li celebrates excess.

In Aventurine Red, it looks both elegant and sporty, which isn’t the easiest feat to pull of. There’s something about the color that makes the 7 Series in general look fantastic. But with the M760Li’s more aggressive body work and dark accents, it makes the Individual red paintwork really stand out.

Sure, cars like the BMW M760Li are a bit superfluous and are doomed for this world. However, that’s sort of why we should celebrate it. There won’t be many more cars like it made moving forward, as we move in a more efficient, pragmatic direction. There’s nothing efficient or pragmatic about the M760Li. It’s simply designed to be hilariously powerful simply because it can be and it has a monster V12 because, well, why not? Cars like that won’t be around much longer so, despite their relative uselessness, they should be celebrated while they’re still here.

Which is why if you’re going to buy one, buy one in a special color like this Aventurine Red. There’s no sense in getting a car as unnecessary as the BMW M760Li in silver. If you’re going to do it, do it right and get an awesome Individual paint color.
