The Nurburgring 24-Hour race saw the introduction of the MINI JCW GP model to the world. The 306-HP hatch proved to the world that it is worthy of the badges, going round the Green Hell in under 8 minutes. This bundle of joy will now be taking on yet another iconic bit of asphalt, the Goodwood hill. The British model will celebrate its UK premiere and race up the famous hill on July 6 in the cheers of MINI fans from around the world.

The new MINI JCW GP model will be in the First Glance Paddock for the full duration of the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Alongside it we’ll also get to see the new MINI John Cooper Works Clubman model, which shares its engine with the hot hatch. Visitors will also get to check out the MINI 3-door John Cooper Works and 5-door Hatch, MINI Convertible and MINI Countryman. The five individual models will sit within their own mood worlds.

MINI owners will be treated to rest and relaxation in the MINI Owners Lounge with free tea, coffee and water as well as mobile phone charging stations. To gain access, MINI owners simply show their MINI key fob to gain entry to the top floor of the MINI stand. The iconic David Bowie Classic Mini will also be on display for owners to enjoy. Continuing the MINI brand’s 60th anniversary celebrations, a selection of the lifestyle collection will be available to purchase on the stand. A UK exclusive, limited edition t-shirt will be on offer, with only 2,000 units available.

Joining the action on the stand will be MINI UK ambassador and racing legend Paddy Hopkirk, who will be available on Saturday 6th July to meet the public and sign autographs. His iconic 1964 Monte Carlo Rally car will also be on display. Goodwood Festival of Speeds will take place from Thursday 4th July to Sunday 7th July 2019.
