Back from 2019 BMW Test Fest in Palm Springs and we have a new video for you. Once again, the 2020 ALPINA B7 gets the front page and we get to enjoy its fine design and craftsmanship. First things first though: the facelifted B7 is powered by a twin-turbo V8 engine delivering 600 horsepower and 590 lb.-ft of torque.

While the previous B7 had the same power output, the top speed was lower 310 km/h vs 330 km/h in the new B7, meaning the uber sedan is now able to get to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 3.5 seconds. To achieve that, several improvements were made to the ECU, transmission and cooling system.

The B7 features a twin-axle air-suspension system, active integral steering and an active anti-roll mitigation system, all of which are seen on the standard car in various guises, too. There is a new ALPINA Sport+ mode as well, combining a bespoke calibration and a 15mm drop in overall suspension ride height.

The new ALPINA B7 is fitted with MICHELIN® performance tires measuring 255/40 ZR20 at the front and 295/35 ZR20 at the rear, mounted on 8.5 x 20” and 10 x 20” ALPINA CLASSIC wheels. Optional 21” ALPINA CLASSIC wheels feature a super-minimalistic design – high-density and high-strength aluminium as a result of forging leads to a weight saving of more than 20% of unsprung mass per wheel.

For those customers who desire it, 20” all-season tires are available as a no-cost option.

The exclusive paint finishes in ALPINA Blue metallic and ALPINA Green metallic are hallmark feature reserved solely for BMW ALPINA automobiles. A wide range of other BMW and BMW Individual paint finishes are also available.

The car seen below is in the ALPINA Green color and the base price for the 2020 B7 is rumored to be around $142,000.
