Inside the Rolls-Royce headquarters in Goodwood, there are a couple of different divisions working together to bring out the most luxurious cars in the world, as we know them right now. The most important one of the bunch is the Bespoke division which oversees the creation of all the crazy and beautiful combinations we see on Phantoms and other models with the double-R badge on them being shipped around the world. The Rolls-Royce Bespoke division will have a new boss starting with August 1, according to the British company.

The Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Bespoke Collective is a team of designers, engineers and craftspeople at the core of the business who bring patrons’ visions to reality, ensuring that Rolls-Royce remains at the pinnacle of the luxury world. Up until August 1, the division will keep being run by César Habib who has been appointed as Regional Director, Middle East & Africa and will assume that role from then on.

The new head of Bespoke will be John Beckley who joined Rolls-Royce in 2008 and has held several senior roles including Sales and Marketing Manager, UK and South Africa, then more recently the position of Regional General Manager, Sales UK, Western & Southern Europe, Russia. Since the beginning of 2018, he has overseen the launch of the new Rolls-Royce Cullinan. John embarked on his career with BMW Group in 1996 as an Apprentice Technician at a BMW dealership in the UK, and was awarded BMW Apprentice Technician of the year in 1999. He progressed to Senior Technician and Field Product Engineer prior to joining Rolls-Royce.

Torsten Müller-Ötvös, Chief Executive Officer, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, said, “I am delighted to appoint John Beckley as our new Head of Bespoke. John has an exceptional track record and his broad experience, combined with extensive regional experience, makes him ideally suited to his new important role for Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. Bespoke is the jewel in the crown of the Rolls-Royce Motor Cars business and I have no doubt that John is the right person to lead our Bespoke Collective through to our next successful chapter.”
