California-based European Auto Source teamed up with German powerhouse AC Schnitzer, and other aftermarket companies, to tune up a BMW M4. The project was dubbed ACS4 and features, among other performance parts, a series of aero upgrades from AC Schnitzer and BMW M Performance.
Starting life as a simple Austin Yellow M4, the car was equipped with AC Schnitzer’s carbon fiber front spoiler elements, F80-F82 front splitter, front side wings made of the same material as well as a rear diffuser and a racing rear wing. IND chipped in with prepainted front bumper reflectors while the BMW M Performance catalogue provided the side blades in gloss black, mirror caps, kidney grilles and sidemarkers.
The car also received Sparco seats and the complete AC Schnitzer package made up of aluminum handbrake handle “Black Line”, aluminum pedal set, foot rest and black floor mats. The BMW GTS steering wheel and AWRON gauge add to the sportiness of this M4.
Thanks to an ESS Stage II Turbo upgrade with a Stage II ECU flash along with Evolution Racewerks aluminum charge pipes and Eventuri carbon Kevlar intake system, the ACS4 M4 now delivers 600 horsepower. The Sparta Evolution TS260X Triton 6-Piston BBK, 380mm are there to help with the stopping power.
