BMW 218d and BMW 225d will join the European 2 Series fleet this Spring.

BMW 2 Series Coupe made its world debut at the 2014 North American International Auto Show. The 2014 BMW 2 Series Coupe will be offered in the U.S. at a Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price of $33,025 for the 228i and $44,025 for the M235i, including $925 destination and handling. In Germany, at launch time, BMW will offer the 220i for 25,168 Euro, the M235i for 36,764 Euro and 220d is priced at 27,310 Euro.

The entry-level diesel, BMW 218d is powered by the N47 four-cylinder turbocharged engine producing 143 horsepower and 320 Nm of torque. The small and fairly potent diesel will cost 29,950 Euro. The engine can be paired to a six-speed manual transmission or the well-known and highly efficient eight-speed automatic. Both variants will produce only 120 grams of CO2 per kilometer.

Further up in the 2 Series diesel range will be a 225d model which will produce 218 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque. The base price is set at 37,950 Euro. Only the 8-speed Steptronic is available for the BMW 225d Coupe.
