Our sister magazine BimmerToday spotted a BMW 1M that belongs to the famous German tuner AC Schnitzer. Known for offering their own visual and performance upgrades to BMW models, the Aachen-based tuner seems to be focusing their efforts on the new 1M.
Details are not available at the moment, but the photos reveal the Type V 20 inch wheels which implicitly leads us to believe that the 1M by AC Schnitzer has a built-in adjustable suspension. The 1M is also running on Continental tires in size 235/35 R 20 for front and 295/25 R 20 at the rear.
The brake system has also undergone some changes with the 1M now featuring slotted disks with multi-piston calipers.
With an engine similar to the one found in the Z4 sDrive35is, one can expect a power upgrade to 380 horsepower and 520 Nm of torque and possibly a top speed of 300 km/h.
Expect more details in the upcoming weeks.
a 20″ wheels means it has adjustable suspension ? How ?
Also the 1M does come with multi-piston calipers. Heck even the 135i comes with them.
it looks like a lowered car with a set of 20″ slapped on.
amazing power , but 20s just dont run with this car…300kmh should not be a problem… 520Nm at what revs? same amount as E60 M5er
Dinan : With a peak horsepower of 398 at 5700 rpm and the peak torque of 429
lb-ft at 4300 rpm as tested with Dinan High Capacity Oil Cooler System
and Dinan Free Flow Exhaust is a monumental increase over the stock 300
horsepower and 300 lb-ft of torque BMW quotes.
and that is on the 135i which is what the 1M also based on. I can see tuners going over 400HP easily. Active Autowerke reportedly did 411HP from the 135i.
sadly no more of the N54 only N55 which is not as tune-able but still impressive on its own.
who let the dogs out? http://derwan.my3gb.com/360.htm
Standard wheels are much much prettier!
