The guys from the Abu Dhabi BMW dealership have become a rather interesting phenomenon on the Internet, posting pictures of all sorts of unique projects they deliver to their super-rich customers. The BMW i8 certainly seems to be a local favorite, with all sorts of versions of the hybrid sportscar being showcased so far. What makes them usually quite spectacular is the fact that they come is all sorts of crazy colors that can’t be found in BMW’s catalogue.

It’s the case of today’s featured car, a Lava Green BMW i8 that was personalized and painted at the Abu Dhabi dealership.  Since the i8 only comes in five colors, and none of them are this bright, this Lava Green beauty is definitely an eye catcher. Like it or not, driving this i8 down the street will gather a lot of attention.

That’s not the only special thing about it, though. The car also received some well-picked AC Schnitzer parts, all of them made of lightweight carbon and aiming at both improving the looks and the aerodynamics of the car. Up front, the bumper has a new spoiler, the side skirts received add-ons as well while the back end is dominated by a big wing. On all four corners of the car we notice a set of lightweight AC Schnitzer wheels as well.

Under the hood, things remained the same as few tuners out there are offering kits for the powertrain of the i8. The hybrid sportscar is still sporting 362 HP and 570 Nm (420 lb-ft) of torque thanks to its hybrid layout. The front electric motor is good for 131 HP and 250 Nm (184 lb-ft) of torque while the rear 1.5-liter 3-cylinder engine makes due with 231 HP and 320 Nm (236 lb-ft) of torque.
