On this episode of Ignition Carlos Lago of MotorTrend goes to Portugal to test the new BMW 435i.

Held in the beautiful Cascais, Portugal, the international media launch gave us also an exclusive look at BMW’s first 4 Series models. While all the journalists had a chance to drive the 435i model, other 4 Series variants were in display. Our test drive reviews can be found here and here.

Under the hood of the BMW 435i is the award-winning 3.0 liter six-cylinder turbocharged engine producing 306 horsepower.

    BMW going after Audi’s naming BS is a sin especially in the ///M3 case IMO. I still can’t get over those reflectors although there are LEDs there – they make the car look low tech and like there are cost cutting measures in place. The same goes for the halogen galore in the taillights. I mean for a 50-60+K car it should feel premium and expensive.
