First images of the M Sport Package for the 2011 BMW 5 Series Sedan have hit the web. Last week, our own BimmerToday broke the news with the first photos of the M-Sport Package on the Touring model,  and today, same package is seen on the sedan version.

The M-Sport package offers a more aggressive without overdoing it. The new front-bumper enhances the imposing look of the new 5er and adds extra sportiness to it. The package also includes an M-Sport rear bumper with integrated diffuser, and larger side skirts. With the M Sport package, we also have a special design of the tail pipes, painted in dark chrome.

Although the aerodynamic functionality of the diffuser is unlikely to be present, the new rear apron provides a wider look to the sedan.

In Europe, the M-Sport package may be ordered with seven exterior colors.

The BMW 5 Series with M-Sport Package will be officially unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in October.

so beautiful. so perfect. so BMW.

  2. clinton says:

it resembles the E39 M5. Absolutely gorgeous car.

  3. Kenee says:

BMW is really trying to bring alive this dead boring 5 series. It looks a lot better but somewhat a copy of Audi’s design lines. Its a shame as it was always Audi copying BMW but on this one for the first time it seems BMW has had to copy Audi.

I guess this is the sign of the times for the 5 series which has become the most boring BMW to look at and unfortunately to drive unless you go for the GT model.

      wtf are you talking about
show me one design cue on this masterpeice that remotely resembles a peice of shit audi. please, i beg of you.

    • M5POWER says:

I failed to see any Audi’s design cues here… Please show us every single thing that this car has with Audi. Show it or your argument is invalid!

i am a HUGE BMW fan, but i have to admit im really dissapointed with the 5 m sport.

bc normal 5er is conservative, so i forgive it…. like the e39.. but the sport model is supposed to be aggresive like the e39. but this sport model is so boring looking. its the same old 3 hold bumper we see again n again.

i expected more from bmw…. i think if u gona spend on the body looks, ur better off with alpina.

    • M5POWER says:

I don’t know why but the kit seems to be looking quite aggresive! Apart from the rear bumper which spoils it IMO. I don’t know what else to say but for your information, no matter whatever the new car is, it will never be looking as aggresive, menacing and sexy as what we have some time ago. This is true and it’s already happening now… Cannot blame on anything except for BMW going back to the design of the E39 if it makes you happy.

I think Kenee is right. I also see the Audi design being copied by BMW

    • M5POWER says:

If you don’t mind, can you please show it to us?? The front and rear pretty much resemble the E90 M-Sport bumpers. The side lower line, upper line and hood has been in the drawing of Jacek Froelich F10 Concept in 2008. I absolutely see no Audi lines and cues here mate.

  6. Alex says:

This is an extremely attractive car. I can’t wait for the turbo diesel trim to make it’s way to the States. The only unfortunate fact is that the price point remains out of reach for a vast majority of folks. :( Once the market gets flooded, hopefully we’ll be able to get a 2-year preowned for mid 30’s…it’s the only reasonable trade-off that makes sense…..

Boring sells as long as it is a 5 series
