Update: Added 2 more exclusive exterior photos, same color different wheels though
Ladies and gentleman, it looks like we have an official date for the revealing of the all new BMW 7 Series: July 7th, 2008. Here are a few things we learned so far about the 7 Series:
- Twin-turbo V12 engine
- Twin-turbo V8 engine
- 8 Speed transmission
- Four square pipes for the high-end model
- Two Square Pipes for the V8
- Four-wheel steering(optional)
- All-wheel drive(optional in the future)
- Dynamic Performance Control
- An improved iDrive Navigation System
- ConnectedDrive
- Driver orientated console coming back
- New BMW exterior colors: Sophisto Grey , Cashmere Silver, Imperial Blue , Mineral Whit

To me it looks like the same sort of roofline as the old 7 but just a new face and new rear…less of a bangle butt

The artists impression is based on the old seven, but take a look at the roof line on the new one - it’s totally different. Much sleeker.
The rear-end… no idea!
It looks a little sleeker, but overall it looks like a big 5-series (Which it is). I have to see the official pictures first….

Certainly this car will be better than the one it replaces in every way. Nevertheless, Im equally certain it’ll have lots of design ‘issues’ as BMW, though claiming to be superior in ergonomics, proves time and again that they don’t really know anything. One really annoying issue with my ‘07 5 series, for example, has apparently not been addresses as evidenced by these pictures. In particular, I’m referring to the fact that the radio dial, ie, the iDrive, is on the console but the radio volume is on the dashboard. For people like myself who likes to change stations frequently this results in lots of unnecessary arm movement. You may consider this minor but these things all add up. I have a list of grievances with ergo on the 5 series and I have no confidence they’l ever be addressed since BMW have blinders on.

honestly,i think thse guys at Bmw have got to sort out the design on the7 series, if this is all they could come up with, this is another failier on their part.
