Certainly this car will be better than the one it replaces in every way. Nevertheless, Im equally certain it’ll have lots of design ‘issues’ as BMW, though claiming to be superior in ergonomics, proves time and again that they don’t really know anything. One really annoying issue with my ’07 5 series, for example, has apparently not been addresses as evidenced by these pictures. In particular, I’m referring to the fact that the radio dial, ie, the iDrive, is on the console but the radio volume is on the dashboard. For people like myself who likes to change stations frequently this results in lots of unnecessary arm movement. You may consider this minor but these things all add up. I have a list of grievances with ergo on the 5 series and I have no confidence they’l ever be addressed since BMW have blinders on.
