It is not unusual for BMW to come up with a new facelift for their models half way their life cycle. It has been known that BMW tends to redesign their line once every 7 years. The current E90 3-series has been launched in 2005 so the unexpected facelift due to be revealed in 2008, it's not so unexpected in the end.
We have already seen some spy photos showing the 3-series facelifted but this time, the guys at worldcarfans.com have managed to snag some photos of the car being tested at Nurburgring. The car in discussion was a black E90 with a disguised grille and bonnet and concealed tail lights. In usual BMW facelift fashion, expect new headlights with accentuated "light rings" a.k.a. 'angel eyes,' a new range of fuel-efficient engines as well as a reworked interior. It is pretty certain that there will be some modifications in the rear end, possibly new LED lights.
New engines will be introduced as well as reducing carbon dioxide emissions technology would be placed in the facelifted E90.
The new E90 will be shown at the Geneva Auto Show in March 2008, until then, we'll just enjoy the spy photos.
