The new BMW 3 Series Touring is currently celebrating its introduction on several markets. Among those, a fairly important country for the G21 3 Series is the United Kingdom. Official details and new pics have been recently disclosed.

We learn that the new 3 Series Touring is offered in a choice of four equipment lines: the entry-level SE, Sport, M Sport and M Sport Plus Edition. Prices start at £35,505 for the 320i model (184 hp) and go all the way to £50,055 for the range-topping M340i xDrive variant. Other power versions are the petrol 330i and the trio of diesels 318d / 320d / 330d.

Besides the standard AWD system on the M340i, only two other models can be optionally paired with xDrive: 320d and 330d. Sending the power to the wheels is the task of either a six-speed manual gearbox (standard on the 318d and 320d) or the 8-speed Steptronic transmission (standard on the rest of the lineup).

The high-end M340i xDrive model develops 374 hp out of a straight-six engine mated to the quick-shifting 8-speed Steptronic gearbox and is sure to offer substantial driving pleasure and increased versatility at the same time. The thirsty M Performance model delivers an outstanding peak torque of 500 Nm and is being equipped with the M Sport differential and the Driving Experience Control to help you choose your desired driving setup.

The M Sport Plus Edition is an all new choice for the 3 Series Touring in UK. The special model is being offered in three exclusive paint finishes from BMW Individual: Dravit Grey, Tanzanite Blue and Oxide Grey. As well, further individuality for the M Sport Plus is ensured by the BMW Individual high-gloss Shadow line.

Moving on in the cabin, UK customers will be able to choose from a large variety of upholsteries and dashboard trims. Worth mentioning are the modern open-pore wood trims, the high-gloss black and the aluminium trims. Solely for the M Sport Plus Edition model, BMW is offering an exclusive Aluminium Fabric high-gloss trim. Cockpit functionality is enhanced by the integrated infotainment concept comprising the BMW Live Cockpit and the large Control display.

Visibility and feel-good atmosphere can be further increased thanks to the optional panoramic glass roof, as part of the Premium Package. Lighting technologies comprise the adaptive LED headlights as standard and the optional BMW Laser headlamps, that are sure to give the car a particularly striking and robust appearance.

The G21 3 Series Touring offers a wide range of assistance and convenience systems, such as the Head Up Display, the Parking Assistant Plus and the BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant, the BMW Digital Key employing NFC technology (near field communication).

Furthermore, there are two choices of BMW Live Cockpit: either Plus and Professional, the latter being standard equipment on the standard on M Sport and M Sport Plus Edition models. The BMW Live Cockpit Plus employs a 8.8-inch Control Display, while the Professional include a high-resolution 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.25-inch Control Display for the BMW iDrive OS 7.0.

With this impressive equipment package, the new BMW 3 Series Touring will surely turn its strengths into impressive sales numbers in the United Kingdom.
