This time next year, the 2020 BMW M3 should already be in customers’ hands, but until then, the rumors continue. According to a usual BMW insider, the color palette for the new BMW M3 might be finalized.

Among the “old school” Alpine White, Black Sapphire, Dravit Grey, Portimao Blue or Tanzanite Blue colors, we could be getting the Isle of Man Green, Sao Paolo Yellow and Toronto Red. The last one has already been seen on the new BMW X4 M.

The rumormill further churns out that inside the cabin of the 2020 BMW M3 we would be getting black, orange/black or blue/black Merino leather combinations. The leather offerings are likely to be expanded.

Also, recent spy shots point to optional carbon fiber bucket seats, along with M Sports seats.

That’s about it for any new exterior details, though. In terms of mechanics, we know that the G80 BMW M3 will use the brand’s new S58 engine, which is an M-ified version of the current, and brilliant, B58.

We will be getting a 500+ hp with all-wheel drive and likely an entry-level 480 hp M3 with rear-wheel drive. The manual transmission will be offered for the lower powered M3. An 8-speed automatic transmission will be offered as well.

BMW will unveil the 2020 BMW M3 early next year.

We’re very excited about this next-gen M3 and we can’t wait to see what it looks like when the camo wrap finally comes off. Especially so we can see what that weird grille design is all about.
