Just recently, I had a BMW 750i Facelift for a week as a test car and was actually able to do a comparison between it and the Audi A8, side-by-side (two reviews coming soon). It was an interesting and exciting week, getting to test two of the best luxury cars on the planet back-to-back. Needless to say, getting back into my own car after two weeks in supreme opulence wasn’t fun.

Alas, I’ve survived my descent back into relative poverty and I’m here to answer any questions you might have about life on the other side.

For a bit of a refresher, just so you don’t ask any questions about the car’s basic specs, my test car was a 2019 BMW 750i xDrive in Bernina Grey Amber Effect with Cognac interior. It was an interesting color combo and one that actually drew a lot of curiosity from friends and family. Some loved it, some hated it but almost everyone was intrigued by it. It almost had a flat grey look to it until you saw sunlight hit the paint and then it would sparkle with an amber color, hence the name. A really interesting color that, while I didn’t love personally, I grew to appreciate.

Inside, my test car was loaded to the grilles (get it?! because it has massive grilles?). So it had massaging, heated and cooled seats, both front and rear, with tablet screens for rear passengers and just about every luxury item you can add to the Big 7.

Under the hood of the facelifted BMW 750i is the same 4.4 liter twin-turbo V8 as in the M850i. So it gets 523 h and 553 lb-ft of torque, which is ridiculous in such a car. BMW claims it can hit 60 mph in about 3.9 seconds, which is so much faster than any 7 Series owner needs to go. Still, it’s remarkably quick.

So ask away, either here or on any of our social media channels, and I’ll be making a video answering all of the questions you might have, as I have with my last two test cars.
