BMW Japan continues the celebration of BMW’s 100th birthday with a new, limited edition model. The BMW i8 Celebration Edition Protonic Red is limited to 20 units which will be delivered in October.
BMW i8 Celebration Edition features the new Protonic Red with 20 inch wheels painted in Orbit Grey and the highly innovative laser lights. Inside, the black leather is paired with red stitching, a dedicated gray seat belt, velour floor mats and carbon fiber trim.
A dedicated door sill plate and serial number badge containing the edition name highlights the exclusiveness of this i8.
BMW’s most advanced car built to date is powered by a hybrid system producing 362 horsepower and 570 Nm (420 lb-ft) for a 0 to 100 km/h of 4.4 seconds. The special i8 is priced at 22,000,000 YEN, around $198,000.
