Hendrick BMW in Charlotte has just delivered an unique BMW 550i to one of their customers. The 550i midsize sedan is painted in the beautiful San Marino Blue color, an option available to anyone willing to shell out $5,000, and comes with the M Sport Package.
Furthermore, the BMW dealer also fitted a series of BMW M Performance Parts to the car, starting with side mirror caps in carbon fiber, M Performance trunk lip also in carbon fiber and ending with carbon fiber trim inside the cabin. To make it even more special, the dealer added a Bang & Olufsen high-fidelity audio system to blast music inside the cabin.
The 550i also sits on a new set of wheels, 20 inch Individual V-spoke style 464m painted in Liquid Black.
Under the hood, the 550i boasts a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 equipped with BMW’s Valvetronic variable valve timing and lift system. Mated to either an eight-speed automatic transmission or a six-speed manual unit, the eight-cylinder mill makes 445 horsepower and 480 lb-ft. of torque, enough to send the car from zero to 60 mph in 5 seconds flat.
The 550i returns 15 mpg in the city and 22 mpg on the highway with the manual transmission. The figures go up to 17 and 25, respectively, with the more efficient automatic unit.
