BMW wrote history at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show with the debut of their first front-wheel drive vehicle. Borrowing part of its name from the new 2 Series family, the 2 Series Active Tourer attracted a larger crowd at the BMW booth than the more elegant 4 Series Gran Coupe, a sign that the European customers are ready to embrace this new approach.

The fresh arrival creates a whole new class of car and combines comfort and functionality of space with the signature BMW values of dynamic ability, style and elegance in the premium compact class. The BMW 2 Series Active Toure maintains the typical BMW sporty presence and harmonious proportions.

Measuring just 4,342 millimeters long (170.9 inches), 1,800 millimeters (70.8 inches) wide and 1,555 millimeters (61.2 inches) in height, the BMW 2 Series Active Tourer offers similar inside space as larger X vehicles.bmw-2-series-active-tourer-01

The versatile luggage compartment, whose capacity can be enlarged from 468 to 1,510 liters.

BMW 2 Series Active Tourer comes with a wide range of exterior colors, such as Black Sapphire, Glacier Silver, Platinum Silver, Mineral White, Mineral Grey, Sparkling Brown, Flamenco Red Brilliant Effect, Imperial Blue Brilliant Effect, Atlantic Grey, Mediterranean Blue, Alpine White and Black.

While European customers will have the chance to buy the 2 Series Active Tourer this year, the U.S. market will have to wait until the second half of 2015.
