How do you know that Summer is coming? The number of aftermarket builds gets larger. Additionally, many of these builds feature an improvement over the OEM suspension system, giving us faith that BMW owners are investing more into handling, performance and safety. This particular Estoril Blue BMW F30 335i project by European Auto Source caters to those areas, as the owner decided to upgrade both the visual and performance aspects of his vehicle.
The BMW 335i is the “older” version of the most powerful 3 Series available. Now replaced by the BMW 340i, the vehicle comes with a slightly lower level of power and performance. The 3.0 liter BMW TwinPower Turbo engine delivers 300 horsepower compared to 320 horsepower in the newer version. The vehicle is capable of sprinting from 0-62mph (0-100km/h) in just 5.5 seconds. When compared to the BMW 340i, which can do the run in 4.6 seconds, the difference clearly isn’t significant.
In turn, this makes the BMW F30 335i the perfect foundation for an aftermarket build. Consequently, the owner of this Estoril Blue BMW 3 Series started the build off with a set of BMW M Performance Parts, followed by HRE Wheels and finished off with an Ohlins Road & Track DFV suspension system.
The M Performance parts installed come in form of a front add-on spoiler, a rear diffuser and a set of gloss black kidney grilles. These parts work nicely with the Estoril Blue exterior finish, giving the vehicle a nice contrast. Furthermore, the carbon fiber construction allows the additional high-performance nature to be applied to the vehicle as well.
The HRE FF01 FlowForm wheels are installed in sizes of 19×8.5 in the front and 19×9.5 in the rear. With a Carbon Graphite finish, the wheels add a nice contrasting effect to the vehicle.
The final touch, a complete Ohlins Road & Track DFV suspension system, giving the vehicle improved stance and handling. Check out the build gallery below.
